Magius was founded in January, 14 of 1971, occupying an area of 200 m2, producing safes for banks. In 1975 Magius entered in the automotive segment, and in this same year, acquired a area with 49.260 m2 in the David Campista Street, N. 188, where built a building with 7.000 m2.

In 1979 Magius began to work with Volvo (part from busses), in this year too Magius bought TRS - Tratorsolo, increasing with this the number of customers.

In the 80´s Magius increased the number of it´s customers, when began to work with Scania and DaimlerChrysler.
